Aztec, Inca, Maya Early Cultures Unit: Activities, Maps and Answer Keys


This 56 page unit will include everything you need to introduce your students to the early North American cultures of the Aztec, Inca, and Maya. Students will be divided into groups based on the three cultures and then subdivided in their groups to research one aspect of that culture. For example: homes, people, vocabulary, location (map skills), government and so on. This product also includes a teacher rubric, group making template, project extensions, answer keys for all group sheets, and so much more.

As a teacher, all you really need is some dice and little game pieces that can easily be made from a pencil eraser, paper, etc. Before the game begins, students (or you) will need to cut out the twelve game cards that are included. It is best if the game is copied on cardstock but regular paper works fine too. Students enjoy this fun reading activity. Teachers will love how the students are not only having a great time reviewing the story!
