Back to School Procedures and Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Back to School blog hop. This is where great teachers are coming together to share our favorite products that we have created in order for you to have a successful school year.

Starting the school year off on the right foot is important for teachers. One of the most difficult parts of the first week of school is establishing routines. Sure stating rules is important, but teachers need to go beyond just saying, "You do this because I said so." Wise Guys has developed 11 great resources for you to help establish routines and procedures in your classroom. They have been successful for us, and we hope that you will find them useful as well!

This back to school bundled unit is to teach your students the rules and procedures for 11 different areas that will help you maintain classroom control at the beginning of the school year:
Lining Up
Hallways
Bathrooms
Sharpening Pencils
Morning Routines
Dismissal
Independent Work
Guided Reading
Substitute Teacher
Lockers
Lunchroom

Included with each procedure is a teacher idea page with purpose, teaching ideas, modeling and role playing that you can do with your class.  Here are some examples:

Also included is a kid friendly poster that you could use with your students and possibly post for students to see on a daily basis. Here are some examples:

All of the files are in Microsoft Word so you can easily adapt them to fit your unique classroom needs.

This would be a great activity to start your school year at the elementary level to help establish routines.

Make sure to add our activities and the others you find on the hop to your cart.
